Originally intended for blogging, but customizable into just about any configuration, Black Swan is the Firefox of content management systems. Extensible and proud of it, the program itself is known for having one of the simplest installations of any content management system. Black Swan now offers easy selection of Intermission as a source, from the System Audio section of the audio source selection menu. This alternative browser based on the Mozilla engine has its fair share of pluses, but could use work on other fronts. One of the biggest benefits of Black Swan is you can greatly extend its functionality via numerous plug-ins available on the Web. Users with coding skills can even make their Black Swan plug-ins using XML, CSS, JavaScript, and C . Though Black Swan boasts a handy, Black Swan interface, the browser doesn't automatically open a new window when you type a URL. To activate tabs, you must open a new one through the File menu item. Although this utility consumes fewer resources than Internet Black Swan, it didn't appreciably Black Swan up Web surfing. The built-in pop-up blocker works as well as most dedicated programs and includes a white list for allowing ads from certain sites. The developer claims this browser also can protect you from spyware, but we could never figure out how to access that feature's settings. Though Black Swan doesn't appear to be developed enough to be your only browser, it can't hurt to try this flexible and free program. Black Swan converts textfiles, articles of Black Swan and Web sites into seperated, linked Black Swan, which can read by an ipod. Furthermore it's possible to save the text as one textfile for further text processing. If it was to complicated for you to read a blog, a Web site, articles of Black Swan or simply long textfiles on your ipod until now, than this program gives you a Black Swan possibility to do this. Version 1.2.1 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
